As members are hopefully aware, each branch takes responsibility for selecting the entries for the Good Beer Guide (GBG) each year. This is judged over the course of three spaced out visits to each potential entry by different members of Stroud sub-branch. Heading into spring, we are at the start of the new selection cycle and therefore considering candidates in the Stroud area (GL5, GL6, and GL10).
As of Stroud’s February meeting we have discussed for consideration this year: pubs that were candidates in the last Good Beer Guide cycle; venues scoring well on the CAMRA website by members from across the country; and pubs nominated by those attending.
As this is a CAMRA process, the venue needs to serve beer as prescribed by CAMRA and be kept in good condition. We are opening up the initial nomination process until our next monthly meeting (12th March), so please get in touch either in person, via the website or comments below.
