The Fresh Standard Brew Co

Established in 2020 as a new small batch, big love beer project by Richard Taylor. They aim to create distinct, hoppy ales, inspired by the Stroud valleys and the places where we drink them.
All their beer is low intervention and only contains the four traditional ingredients of Water, Barley, Hops and Yeast. They don’t clarify their beer with fish derived finings so their beer has a light natural haze. This also means they are vegan friendly

  • Better – Pale 4%

    The name says it all – this golden-hued brew is simply better.
    A West Coast Pale Bitter with crisp, zesty centennial hops and a clean snappy finish, the reason best rhymes with west.

  • Wintersweet – Pale 3.9%

    An Enigma wrapped inside a Galaxy if you like. Or we hope you like as those are the two hops bringing the flavours to this malty, session strength light amber ale. Expect redcurrant and pine flavours alongside a touch of stone fruit.

  • Export Porter 2023 – Porter 7.4%

  • Sylvan Gold – IPA 4.4%

    Golden and luminous, a bittersweet burst of flavour. Bright citrus aroma and tangy grapefruit notes balanced by a malty sweetness that lingers long after each sip. A refreshing showcase for Nelson Sauvin and Centennial hops

  • Mist – Pale 3.4%

    A delightfully light amber hazy, easy on the palate pale ale with refreshing notes of grape and passionfruit.
